SPRING ONION CHANNA DAL CURRY

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Spring onion (ulli kadaku) – 2 cups
  2. Boiled Bengal gram dal (senaga pappu) – 1 cup
  3. Onion – 1 big (chopped)
  4. Tomatoes – 2 medium (chopped)
  5. Green chillies – 2
  6. Ginger and garlic paste – 1 spoon
  7. Turmeric powder – a pinch
  8. Salt  – as per taste
  9. Chilli powder – 1 spoon
  10. Milk -1/2 cup
  11. Oil – 4 spoons
  12. Curry leafs – a few
  13. coriander leafs – for garnishing

PROCEDURE:

Heat oil in a pan add green chillies, chopped onions, ginger and garlic paste, curry leaves, fry till golden brown, now add chopped tomatoes, let it cook for a minute and add boiled Bengal gram dal, spring onions, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, fry for some time, and add milk to it, let it cook till milk gets dissolved, now add cumin powder and coriander leaves. mix well, turn off the gas.

serve with roti or jeera rice
